There are even occasions when the game drops loot early on, yet you won’t be able to equip them without getting penalized due to stat requirements. For example, if you go pure-STR at the beginning, then you’re likely to just focus on STR-based weaponry to boost that damage. Sadly, Hellpoint falls flat in this regard since certain weapons or armor (some of which would remind you of stuff from Warframe) will require a stat value that can’t be reached unless you focus predominantly on that stat. It is not very detailed, but it gives you a clue where to find passages and exits (E), bosses (B), black hole gates (G), trams (T) and breaches (bonfires). Do you want to chain a combo, but also block immediately when needed? Nope, you’ve gotta wait for that slow-as-a-turtle animation to finish. I ended-up not getting the game because of the map thing. Hellpoint Maps I was looking for some time for a map, a basic map at least, for the Souls-like game Hellpoint. The downside is that combat in Hellpoint, all too often, feels clunky and cumbersome, and your character’s movement and animations don’t do it any favors. Hellpoint is a reasonably decent sci-fi/Soulslike effort that sticks closely to FromSoftwares well-worn formula whilst introducing a few neat new tricks and twists of its own. Next, there are dash and jump attacks to give you more options. ![]() For starters, you’ve got your usual array of light and heavy attacks, a block, a dodge, and a stamina bar that governs all of that. Regrettably, the action in Hellpoint is what Dark Souls would be if the latter remained sluggish and bland. This helps the game to feel more mysterious and gives players more of a reason to explore. ![]() I thoroughly enjoyed playing hellpoint, it has that "souls-like" experience we've all come to love, while also having features that set it apart from other games in this genre of game style.It’s easy to think of Hellpoint as “ Dark Souls in space.” True enough, the game borrows from Souls‘ HUD elements in terms of health or stamina bars, as well as that dose of brutal, melee-focused combat. Hellpoint has multiple alternate routes to get to places within the map and environmental puzzles. Otherwise, enjoy your time exploring, it's such a well developed game in terms of map layouts/designs, combat, and lore. And you'll never need to use a synchronizer on a breach after a major boss fight ![]() Breaches will reset every new game, so keep a mental note of which breaches to synchronize and which to ignore cause you'll save yourself a lot of time, energy, and resources by doing so.(I for example looked up a list of which ones to activate and which to ignore cause i struggled with finding synchronizers in my first play through) ~ side note You can always join someone's world for resources if you're struggling to find what you need in your own world~ It's always smart to save one or more for when you absolutely need to teleport back to hub for upgrades If you wish to fast travel between the hub and other locations, you'll have to use a "breach synchronizer" at the desired breach, you are given one pretty early on the game, but in the beginning areas, they're quite easy to miss in your first play through if you don't know where to look. If you haven't synchronized any breaches you've come across since leaving hub world, you'll have to travel by foot everywhere you wish to go. I hope this isn't spoiling anything for you, im only explaining how breaches will work and interact with you, and some tips on things I wish i would've known about breaches before getting to far in□□ hope this helps!
